Varietals, Vineyard & Harvest: 100% estate-grown and hand-picked. Equal parts, or one barrel each of, Cabernet Franc picked 2 November 2021, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot, both picked 28 October 2021.
Winemaking: Wines vinified separately by natural fermentation, barrel-aged 17-months in largely neutral French oak and blended for bottling. Estate bottled unfined and unfiltered 3 May 2023.
Wine Description: A perfumed nose of ripe berries, cassis, blackberry, menthol, licorice, cedarwood and spice notes. Medium-bodied with an elegant mix of red and dark berries, plum, earth, anise and soft wood spices on the palate. The wine provides a long finish framed by fine and smooth tannins. Drinking well from mid-2024 to 2034.
Acidity & pH: 5.9 g/L TA; pH of 3.42
Sweetness: Fully dry on the palate containing 1.8 g/L residual sugar.
Alcohol by Volume: 13.0%
